SCATS' SNERT

Over on the SCATS blog, the Sunday dramz is in full swing. Don't people go to church and get right with Gawd anymore?

Comment moderation across the site is enabled because of one old lady who has way too much time on her hands. She's blazed a trail through a few Rochester blogs and forums and now her profile is dying the slow death over on SCATS' blog. Looks like the procedure is to post and post and post some more until other people are sick of it and stop posting. Then it appears she is the only one who cares and contributes. Unless of course you are like SCATS and become a gatekeeper for the comments to tone it down. Or like rocmoms or D & C and just stifle the comments altogether somehow.

Usually she is over at another Greece blog that I will highlight in the future. But that blogger hadn't put up anything in almost a week so SCATS got bombarded. Everywhere. About everything. Over and over.

Will she hide herself behind anonymous, those people who she hates? Will it even work? I don't think she will want to go all ANON, because then who would know it is her and that's what she wants. Recognition. Self Validation. If she finds this blog she'll probably pretend to have a fit but secretly loooooove it.

OMG, this is hysterical. And true!

LMAO! Just what we need in Greece. Someone to give their opinion about the people who give their opinion Ha!

I don't think there will be any shortage of material. But is this for real?

To paraphrase a 90s sitcom...

It's real
.
.
.
and it's spectacular.

I think the actual quote was more on the order of "They're real ... and they're spectactular!" (Said by Seinfeld's now ex-girlfriend about her chest, which he only talked about and never got to check out.)

Seinfeld Rocks :)

re: the unnamed serial poster, it is like the old saying any press is good press :) BTW this blog is sure to be a hoot!

It will be hard to find the drama on the RGB as it is sesored up the wazzoo.

maybe people will repost their censored comments here. lol

LeRogueBlogger said...

I guess that is possible but would it make much sense without the original post? Or is it just to have the satisfaction of the comment being posted methinks.

Wow I go away for a week and still I am getting blamed for posts that I did not author. Diane I post and sign Coffee I am not sure who ME is but you are right I did use the "jazzy" in ref, to the mall scooters and not you directly, way back on the old Greece Blog. Remeber there were MANY followers of RJ's other blog so anyone could have coined my term. Perhaps you should not take such liberties in ASSUMING.

Here is a snipit of the level of censorship at RJ's blog.

ANd yes I do believe that the mentioned poster is a bit nuts, with or with out her "mobilty devise". And a bit of history is that Diane was so mad at Auberger for failing to address the access of scooters at Greece Ridge Mall.

Hey Coffee! Welcome back from wherever.

Guess what? Yesterday I was accused of being you and radaronline and greecemonkey ... once again! But this time by a different finger-pointer.

Apparently, I've become the whipping boy of the blogosphere ... they think I'm everyone they don't like. LOL Given the source, I take it as a compliment :)

Good to see you back!

Coffee hates to be censored on any level. But since it is my blog I can censor Coffee all I want. Besides most 99.9 % of her comments are personal attacks. I don't have to tolerate personal attacks on any level. Signed Mocha Latte

Some people run their blogs the same way a certain supervisor runs this town - exerting iron fist control over a few cronies. No discussion. No dissent. Similar to China.

LeRogueBlogger said...

Ah the satisfaction of being in control is woderful. Don't I know it.

RJ for as much as you and Diane complain about me you sure think about me a lot, and are convicted everyone in disguise is me. What you don't like is being called out on being petty. And lets be real all the crap that Diane spewed on the D&C and there was not one utterance of how she behaved. Well actions speak for themselves and I see she has again launched herself into the blog-osphere with her actions on SCATS blog. So life goes on and the real Greece blog has a poster with diarrhea of the mouth, and an owner that prohibits the pepto bismol to get it under control. Coffee

Let's talk about how you behave Coffee. If you want to comment on the content of my blog, that's fine. But when you continue to personally attack other comments, that is NOT acceptable. You hate that you have no venue to post your personal attacks anymore.
Perhaps if you would learn some proper blog etiquette, your comments would be allowed.

To Coffee ~~ For what it's worth, this is my personal observation since I don't even try to comment on certain other BLOGS. I tried doing so once and was deleted for educating people about things like the truth regarding IP addresses, etc ;)

You must understand the double-standard employed on a certain BLOG (BLOG A) that I won't mention by name. It's perfectly fine to continually attack someone, and I'm not saying who, that runs a different BLOG (BLOG B), but please don't try to say a word about the clique that keeps BLOG A going. If you do, your comment will likely end up in the compost pile.

If you don't believe me, read through some of those threads. The "topic" very often turns to that of BLOG B and how it is run, not the topic of the thread. BLOG A's administrator somehow believes that it is perfectly fine to "trash talk" an anonymous person, even when that person is defined by an online name. On the other hand, similar talk about any of the aforementioned clique will get you deleted. Go figure.

AHH SCATS how right you are. And the ironly is it appears that when one un-named blogger was, ah hem, ask to play noce on you blog she did not so "attacked you" else where. Classic pot calling the kettle black. Coffee

LeRogueBlogger said...

There is a difference between opposing opinion and personal attack. And hey, if the blog author crosses that line even in a passive aggressive way, expect comments in kind, right?

I guess I am famous I have entire post on RJ's just for me. Again there is little fact and mostly fiction.

And I would not toot your horn about "Vogueing" that was humor at you expense, not by me BTW, and you re post it. That is a LMAO moment. It makes fun of the career you once had. Clueless! Coffee

To LRB ~~ Allowing "comments in kind" is the easy thing to do. I prefer to avoid that to the extent possible. There are times though when I must address certain behaviors that distract from the conversation ... like on Sunday. When I started getting complaints via email in addition to complaints on the BLOG, it was a sign that something was amiss and intervention was required.

I don't want to host any CAT fights between bloggers, because I don't want SCATS to be about other BLOGS/bloggers. I want it to be about Greece, the schools, the town govt, the people who make things happen (or not). Thank God for the delete button, Comment Moderation, editing and thick skin.

LeRogueBlogger said...

Just a note:

I don't want to have to delete anything.

On a blog about blogs, people will say here what they might not be able to say somewheres else.

If I post that I think someone is insecure and annoying is it fair to delete a comment from someone saying they think I am insecure and annoying? I know I CAN but it is fair?

In comparison if I post that I like cookies someone can say "I think cookies are stupid" - is it fair to censor that? I don't think so. But I might censor "Only an idiot would like cookies and I hope you die you cookie loving loser".

mmmm cookies. gotta go.

To LRG ~~ The difference is that YOU host a BLOG about BLOGS! :D

Anonymous said...

Make that "LRB" ... I even self-edit :)

You must truly have nothing to do with your time. Perhaps uf everyone tool some of the time they waste commenting on comments in other blogs, and put it to better use, say volunteering to help a charity, school, organization, club, athletic league, etc, the world might be a better place (or at least our small piece in Greece NY).
Here's a start -
Find some ideas at www.VolunteerMatch.org or do a search fro "volunteer opportunities in Rochester NY.

remember that website next time you choose to read a book, or take a nap, or watch a movie or comment on a blog or anything that YOU want to do for yourself!

To 4:18PM ~~ For me, running SCATS BLOG is volunteer work and a community service.

Voluntary = unpaid.

Community service = informative, whether you like it or agree with it, or not.

LeRogueBlogger said...

I am so effiecient I can have a job, family, community action and this blog. And I sleep well at night too, if that was another jab you wanted to throw.

Thanks for taking the time to read and even more time to comment!

Providing comedic relief is an asset to the community too.
